A pleasantly eccentric take on politics

Dear Sen. Pilcher-Cook,

Oh Mary….what a difficult time for you.  I had to reach out when I heard the news.  You were removed, pulled, yanked or as they say given the old heave-ho as chairwoman from the Senate Public Health and Welfare Committee.
Kansas Sen. Mary Pilcher-Cook, a Shawnee Republican, was removed from a committee chairmanship Friday for adding an Obamacare amendment to an unrelated bill, a violation of Senate rules, said Senate President Susan Wagle.

Pilcher-Cook’s amendment would have forced a Senate vote on Medicaid expansion, which she opposes.
We can’t have the Senate voting to expand Medicaid so Wagle just shoved your right off that committee to send a message.

Your response took her to task.
“Instead of allowing members to stand on principle and vote their conscience, she seeks to push conservative principles aside and push her own political agenda,” she said in a statement.

That’s right Mary!  How dare she push her own political agenda.  Oh the outrage.  Kansas citizens don’t have time for this type of political theater.  We need politicians such as yourself who don’t do such things and never push their own political agendas.

For example, I remember once when a politician had the nerve to use our statehouse as a place to perform sonograms.  She was pushing her own pro-life agenda. The sonograms were performed by a pregnancy crisis center, not even by a neutral source.  I mean come on, you wouldn’t stand for such political drama.  That person was the head of the Public Health and Welfare Committee.
That person was……
For some reason the words pot and kettle just keep repeating themselves over and over in my mind.
Yours for calling out political agendas,

..pleasantly eccentric take on politics? Not exactly!!
..a monotonous harangue on anyone in KS politics with an (R) behind their name? Precisely!!
..and all of these individuals were elected by the great people of KS? Exactly!!

Over and over, what do the voters report that they hate about politics? The constant bickering, the polarization of the parties, the demonizing of opponents, etc.

May you reap what you sow.

    From the Merriam-Webster dictionary

    abor·tion noun
    Simple Definition of abortion
: a medical procedure used to end a pregnancy and cause the death of the fetus

    preg·nan·cy noun
    Simple Definition of pregnancy
: the condition of a woman or female animal that is going to have a baby or babies : the condition of a pregnant woman or female animal

    fe·tus noun
    Simple Definition of fetus
: a human being or animal in the later stages of development before it is born

Abortion = a medical procedure used to end the condition of a woman that is going to have a baby, and cause the death of the human being in the later stages of development before it is born.

Aimee Patton, why promote death, when you could be promoting life, understanding and peace?

I see-you are reaching out to me more because of the abortion issue than the Wagle vs Pilcher-Cook spat. I respectfully disagree with you and wish you the best.
